Remodeling your kitchen has been on your list of things to do for a long time. And you are finally getting it done. But one of the last items you need to select after you have chose the cabinets, appliances and the countertop is your sink faucet. Selecting the kitchen sink faucet can be a difficult task if you go unprepared to your neighborhood home center or local hardware store. That is why looking through kitchen faucets reviews on the internet can help you make a decision.
When deciding the right faucet for your kitchen sink, many options, colors, materials and sizes are available. Some of the questions to ask yourself about you situation are:
Do I have a stainless steel sink?
Do I have a white porcelain sink?
Is my sink a single bowl?
Is it a double bowl?
Under mount sink or drop-in sink?
Which side is the garbage disposal going on?
Do I need an 8" spread?
How much can I spend?
Once you answered these questions, your decision will be easier. Many styles and colors are available. These include white, black, bone, stainless steel, chrome, brass, brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze, brushed bronze and pewter. Some fixtures can be very expensive too. A faucet could run you $1000 if you want to spend that much. Or you could go with one of the many inexpensive brand names and spend $300. Just remember not to go too cheap. A really cheap faucet could possible leak at a later date or the finish could flake off and then it rusts.
Sink size is a factor also. If you have a large double bowl sink and you install a small single lever faucet, it might not look too good. A two handle faucet with a large spout with a pull-out sprayer would be the right choice. The faucet needs to be proportional to the size of your sink.
Do not forget to accessorize. Soap dispensers, lotion dispensers, air gaps, the matching sink strainer should be on your list too. The water sprayer is another thing to think about. They have side sprayers and sprayer that pull out from the handle. These sprayers work by pushing a button turning it from a steady stream to a light shower sprayer.
Design sense is also what you will need. Matching the faucet with all the other features of your new kitchen can be a challenge. If you choose the right one, you kitchen will come together as on and dazzle you family and guests. If you select the wrong one, your kitchen will not feel complete. Make sure you check out the entire manufacturer's website and read the kitchen faucets reviews posted. These will give you a great idea of which manufacturer and which model fits your needs.
Locating a good selection of faucets to choose from is not that hard these days. You can go down to your local home center like Home Depot or Lowes you can go to your local hardware store like Ace Hardware or Truevalue. I would then see what they charge for the faucet you selected and then go online and look for a better deal. There are so many online suppliers that you may find a good price.
Below are some of the larger manufactures of faucets. Go to their websites and choose a faucet. But do not buy it there. Take the model number and then go to the home centers and see if they have it in stock. You will save money.
