Pick the lenses with your mood. Whether you want extended wear which can be worn for up to a year or some short term usage of one day up to two weeks you can do so economically. You can even get green colored contact lenses if you have a special need for bifocals or if you have an astigmatism.
Taking care of your eyes and you lenses is very important for good eye health. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before handling them. Any little bit of dust or dirt particles will scratch the lenses. Make sure to use a no rub contact solution when cleaning your contacts, if you use a no rub formula it is less likely to scratch or mess up the color on your contacts. For extended wear lenses, you should clean them with enzymatic tablets once a week.
Since extended wear lenses can be worn for up to a year you should give your lenses extra disinfectant taking more care of them than you would disposable lenses. Store them in a lens case with screw-on lids for the safest transportation method. Lids that screw firmly on can be placed in your purse or pocket and prevent leaks which will dry out and ruin your contacts. Do not share them with anyone else as it will spread bacteria from person to person and cause irritation or redness.
You should make sure that you don't purchase lenses without a prescription for your own eyes. If you buy non-prescription contacts you risk scratching your eyes and causing permanent injury to your retinas. Green contact lense s are a very popular color to choose, just make sure that you keep your contact lenses cleaned and taken care of properly.
